Happy and Adventurous 2009

Another New Year's has come and gone. Kind of crazy how fast it all goes by, especially if you're having fun! Jam-packed 2008 went by in a blink of an eye. From skiing in the winter and spring, to

My New Year's Dinner

a quick rest on Maui, out to Africa, then Beijing, new Zealand and back to Europe, there was very little downtime.

And what a time it was... I won't soon forget all the adventures and people I met along the way: all the nutty screaming Euros wanting a pic with me, the porters at Kilimanjaro, the kids at the Right to Play camps, the athletes and Chinese people at the Olympics, and on and on.

Today I have mapped out a bit of a different year in which the priorities are less centered around adventure (although there will plenty of that too) and more around a disciplined plan as we head into 2010, the Vancouver Winter Olympics year.

One thing won't be different though: I'll still be challenging myself, pushing the limits of what I know and can do. That alone should keep every day fresh and exciting, just the way I like it.

What about you? What's your plan for this year? I'd love to hear about it...

Bye-bye for now and HAPPY 2009!

XOXO
Jules

Happy Holidays!

Hey hey!Dec. 26th Slalom Training

Had a great Christmas Eve out in Kitzbuehl this year... bunch of friends up on the hill at Pinky's, celebrating, having fun til the break o' dawn. The 25th was a chill day hanging in Kirchberg. Nothing too exciting. Grabbed an early dinner, watched a movie and lights out by 9PM.

On the 26th we got started early with some slalom training at the Geisberg. All good out there. Still not rippin my slalom, but hey, nothing ever comes without effort.

Some interesting things on the horizon for Ladies World Cup tour... there seems to be very little snow in Zargreb and Maribor. Not sure what's going to happen if those don't go down, but we'll see. Stay tuned.

Other than that... Semmering on the 28th and 29th! I'll go charge it with all I got.

I hope you had a joyous Holidays and that your 2009 will start off with a bang, health and happiness.

I'll catch up with you soon...

XOXO,
Jules

Thumbs Up!
